Lux Sagrada (Sacred Light) is an ongoing documentary-archive project by Barcelona-based Mexican artist Diego Martinez Chacon (b. USA, 1997). Throughout 2026, the artist has documented the image of La Sagrada Familia every day at sunrise from the same elevated viewpoint on his rooftop in Gràcia, Barcelona. The image is then combined with sounds recorded by the camera, and loops of electronic sound, resulting in an extensive audiovisual archive that reflects how iconic structures function as screens for collective memory and cultural belief against the passing of time.
